Cebes lets you converse with AI characters modeled on historical figures. Please read this before relying on anything said in a conversation.
Every response is generated by an artificial-intelligence language model. The characters are interpretations built from public-domain writings and historical records — they are not the actual historical figures, their estates, or their representatives, and nothing they say should be attributed to the real person as a genuine quotation or view.
AI models can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or entirely fabricated (a phenomenon often called “hallucination”), even when it sounds confident and is accompanied by citations. Cebes shows source passages to ground its answers, but it cannot guarantee that any statement is historically accurate. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it.
Conversations on Cebes are for education, reflection, and entertainment only. They are not, and must not be treated as, medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. For decisions that affect your health, finances, legal situation, or safety, consult a qualified professional.
Because the characters are drawn from historical source material, they may express ideas, assumptions, or prejudices that were common in their time but are false, offensive, or harmful by today’s standards. Presenting this material is not an endorsement of it.
Cebes is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any individual, estate, institution, or rights-holder associated with the historical figures depicted.
