Cebes provides AI-generated conversations with characters modeled on historical figures, grounded in public-domain source material. The characters are simulations, not the real people. Please read our AI Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms.
Responses are produced by AI language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated. They are provided for education, reflection, and entertainment only and are not professional advice of any kind. You are responsible for how you use any information from the Service, and you should independently verify anything important.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The Service is currently free to use. Fair-use and usage limits may apply to keep it sustainable, and we may adjust them with notice. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, the price, billing cycle, and renewal and cancellation terms will be presented to you before you subscribe, and if you cancel you will not be charged for any period after the cancellation takes effect.
The historical texts underlying the Service are in the public domain. The Cebes name, design, software, and character implementations are our property or licensed to us. You retain ownership of the messages you submit, and you grant us a limited license to process them solely to operate and improve the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cebes and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cebes and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be made apparent within the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Alberta, Canada, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
